Pumpkin carving

We carved pumpkins with Jen, Jeremy, Andy, and Natasha. We didn't bring our camera, so you'll have to check out Jen's blog to see everyone's pumpkins. Here are ours - Kristine got a wimpy candle so you can't really see how awesome it is.

Boo at the Zoo

Saturday we took Simon on his first trick or treat run. He and his cousin Johnny fit right in with all the zoo animals.

Just The Two of Us

Thanks to generous friends and family Ryan and I got to go on not one, but two dates this weekend! It had been a while.
Friday night we left our sleeping baby with our friends and went to see Where The Wild Things Are. We even got drinks and popcorn, to Ryan's delight. Then Saturday we went to the BYU game, not the best game, but it was fun to attend without a baby in tow. Thanks again to our babysitters!

Five Months

We can't believe this guy is five months old already. He's getting so big, and learning things so quickly. His favorite thing lately is his jumper that you hang from the door frame. Here are a couple pictures of him celebrating his five months today.

Floppy socks

Ever since I was little I have pulled my socks down mostly off my feet (especially when I am not feeling very well) so they flop. The other day I looked down at Simon on the floor and this is what I saw:



He kept them like this for hours. I guess some weird things are genetic!

Chloe

Things have been busy lately so we haven't posted much about our new puppy. She is doing great! She potty trained herself very quickly, already comes when called, sits on command, walks on a leash without pulling (90% of the time so far). She is the smartest dog either of us has had - she learns things very quickly and really wants to make you happy. She loves Simon and all other little boys she comes in contact with. She really loved Tucker at Charlotte's house because he is just past the baby stage and able to run around and drop chips on accident. She is very sweet with children and very mellow. At Charlotte's house with about 15 new people in the house, she got so tired watching everyone that she fell asleep in the middle of the floor. We are very excited about her and already can't imagine what we did without her.
