San Diego and Update

Last week we got to spend a week in San Diego. It was a fun vacation and Simon was a trooper and had a lot of fun.

We spent a couple days at Sea World. What a great place to take little kids. There were so many interactive things for him to do. He was well entertained the whole time and did well even when sitting through all the shows.

This is a terrible picture, but he actually loved all the rides he was allowed to go on.

He wore himself out.

We spent another day at the San Diego Zoo. We have heard such great things and were not disappointed.

The rest of our time was spent playing on the beach. Simon was in heaven playing in the sand and water. He cried when we started to pack up his sand toys to leave. He would have camped out there the entire trip.

Other things that have been going on:
We moved! Not super far, but just a little closer to campus in a place that's a bit smaller, but much cheaper. So far we really like it in our new place, though nothing could beat our old neighborhood.
I found a job. I'll be nannying a little boy Simon's age a few hours every day while his mom goes to school. It's not much, but it's something! Plus it's great to have a job where I can bring Simon along.
As you can tell from some of the above pictures, Simon is officially walking full time now.
Things are going great for Ryan in the lab. Though he's constantly there anyway, fall semester officially begins for him next Monday.

Perfect family vacation! Loved the pictures! I didn't know you got the nanny job...that keep you busy! (like you needed more to do right?)

Very fun pictures! Hopefully Simon and the little boy you are nannying for can become buddies.
