Hunting

Ryan went deer hunting with the boys this weekend. No luck this trip. He definitely looks official though (the hat is my personal favorite).

Birthday

This past weekend was spent celebrating Ryan's birthday. Friday we stuck to tradition, and I took Ryan to the circus.

Saturday we attended our weekly football game. It was the first U game we've been able to go to this season. Doesn't he look good in red? :)

Sunday was Ryan's actual birthday. It's a good thing we celebrated earlier in the weekend, because I was sick all day Sunday. His aunt Charlotte made him a delicious dinner and he attended his family birthday dinner solo. Thanks for the dinner Charlotte, sorry I missed it!

Wedding Bells

My sister Jen got married September 20th. My parents were able to come home from their mission for the weekend and Mel and Derrick were lucky enough to get a sweet deal on plane tickets and flew in for a couple of days from Boston. The wedding seemed to run smoothly and everything worked out great. It was fun to have all the family together, even if it was only for a couple days.

That's the last of the weddings in our family. Four weddings in 16 months! Whew!

You'll have to forgive my outdated postings. My sister Jen got married on September 20th. We threw a family shower for her a week before her wedding. I thought I'd post a few of the fun pictures we got. Thank you Leslie and Alicia for all your help!

Here she is opening some of her cute gifts. We themed the shower around "firsts". Everyone who came was assigned a different first. Everyone thought of something so creative, it turned out really great.

Funny Story

A lady I work with in the primary came up to me after church Sunday with a cute story: A couple months ago Ryan and I spoke in church. When Ryan stood up to give his talk this woman's son's eyes became huge. He looked up at his mom and insisted, "Mom, it's Bruce Wayne!"
We sat behind them in church Sunday and were wondering why he was constantly looking over his mom's shoulder at us. Apparently he is 100% convinced. I think next Sunday I'll have Ryan bring his batman mask. :)
