Obsessed

The only things Simon likes almost as much as books are slides. After keeping an eye out for a while I finally found a used one someone was selling locally. He is one happy kid.

Boating Party

We had another successful annual O, B, & B family boating party this year. Simon loved all the boats, wave runners, and playing in the sand. He even experienced his first ride on the sea monster. It was fun to get together with family and continue such a great tradition.

A Little Something to Look Forward to

Baby Vany #2! Coming some time around February 23rd. Woohoo!

Moab

We spent the last few days in Moab with Jen and Jeremy.
We visited Arches, Canyonlands, and hung out in the town looking at shops, etc.
We went to Arches our first day.

Ryan was a celebrity on the trail for carrying Simon in a backpack the whole way. It was hot, and it's not an easy hike.

Another day we went to Canyonlands. A HUGE park that needs to be thoroughly hiked through some day.
We only did one small hike in the park to see some caves and ruins. Simon walked/climbed the whole thing!

Visitors

We were lucky to have Simon's Mumsy and Gus come visit for the week last week. We did all sorts of fun stuff like the parade, mini golf, etc. I forgot my camera for the earlier days, but I remembered it for the weekend when we went up to Flaming Gorge with Georgia, John, and Johnny.

This is a terrible picture of Simon (he was a bit grumpy by the end of the day), but I liked that all three of them were in a picture together.

We were lucky to see some wild mountain sheep while we were driving around.

It was a fun visit that went by way too fast. We loved spending some time together, and can't wait to do it again!

Camping II

We went up to Current Creek over the 24th with some of my family for a camping/fishing trip.
Once again, Simon thought it was the coolest experience in the world.

We had our first little camping trip of the summer over the weekend. We went down to Spanish Fork for a family reunion for Ryan's Dad's side of the family. Simon has been begging us to go camping for weeks, and he was not disappointed.

All he wanted to do was go in and out of the tent for the majority of the first day.

We were a little nervous not bringing the pack n' play this time. We got him a little Lighting McQueen air mattress sleeping bag and he LOVED it. He slept in it all night, and even slept in that morning.
