Pumpkin Time

We got around to carving pumpkins tonight. Simon did not like touching the gooey insides of the pumpkins. Luckily we had a little one for him to color.

Getting into it. Simon is not of lover of coloring, but he really liked getting marker on everything. Thank goodness for things washable.

Football

My brother gave us a couple tickets to the BYU game yesterday. It was a gorgeous day, and the team did awesome.

Other happenings:
The pregnancy is still going really well and I'm finally feeling good again. This baby has been confirmed to definitely be a girl, and so I'm trying to resist buying every pink baby item I come across. She is extremely lively and loves to kick and flip around.
I chopped off all my hair and sold it a couple weeks ago, and I'm still trying to get used to it. It is way shorter than I've ever wanted my hair, but it is an adventure and luckily pregnancy makes your hair grow faster. :)
Ryan continues to work hard in the lab. We are hoping for some big successes this winter.
Simon is hilarious as usual and blows my mind how intelligent he is. He continues to love books and anything that will teach him anything. He is such a fun little guy, and is going to make an awesome big brother.

Drum Roll Please

It's a... Girl!

Well, most likely. We've now had 3 ultra sounds, and they all say it's "probably" a girl. Today was my big 20 week ultra sound, but this baby is very wiggly and uncooperative, plus the cord was blocking the view in between the legs. So as far as I'm concerned, it's a girl. Other people in this household seem to be in a bit of denial. :)

Obsessed

The only things Simon likes almost as much as books are slides. After keeping an eye out for a while I finally found a used one someone was selling locally. He is one happy kid.

Boating Party

We had another successful annual O, B, & B family boating party this year. Simon loved all the boats, wave runners, and playing in the sand. He even experienced his first ride on the sea monster. It was fun to get together with family and continue such a great tradition.

A Little Something to Look Forward to

Baby Vany #2! Coming some time around February 23rd. Woohoo!

Moab

We spent the last few days in Moab with Jen and Jeremy.
We visited Arches, Canyonlands, and hung out in the town looking at shops, etc.
We went to Arches our first day.
Our hike to Delicate Arch-
Ryan was a celebrity on the trail for carrying Simon in a backpack the whole way. It was hot, and it's not an easy hike.

Another day we went to Canyonlands. A HUGE park that needs to be thoroughly hiked through some day.
We only did one small hike in the park to see some caves and ruins. Simon walked/climbed the whole thing!
