I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home

Ryan was gone all last week at a conference and finally got home Friday night. We let him sleep in this morning for Father's Day, but Simon wanted to make sure he was still here. We missed him are so happy to have him home. Happy Father's Day!

Great Grandpa Will Be So Proud

Growing up my grandpa always had a huge vegetable garden that everyone would come out and help with. Everyone always hated the weeding the most, but if you wanted fresh veggies, it had to be done.
We've planted our own little garden out back and I was out weeding today while Simon played with his ball. He decided he wanted to do what I was doing in the garden. Looks like this boy loves to weed! This picture doesn't do it justice, but by the time we were ready to go inside he was covered head to toe in dirt.

Party On and 1 Year Check Up

Simon had a little birthday party last Saturday. The weather didn't really cooperate, but somehow we were able to fit everyone in our little apartment. He had a lot of fun opening gifts and eating chocolate cake.








Good thing he had a fun weekend because come Monday his 1 year check up was not a pleasant experience. According to his doctor he is a really healthy guy. Still super tall (96%!) and skinny (50%). His doc is concerned that he is still wheezing though. With all the medicine and things we've been doing he was expecting there would have been more of an improvement. He sent us up to Primary's to get a chest x-ray, thank goodness it was all clear. Now we are trying out a new asthma medication to see if it makes a difference. If not we get to go see a specialist in July. So Monday was a long day, but Simon was a trooper.

Best Dog Ever

Simon has always loved Chloe, but lately he is obsessed with her. He will suddenly start laughing and saying her "name" over and over as he crawls over to her. Then he'll proceed to give her pats and hugs. I think she loves it as much as he does.

Baby Girls

My good friend and former roommate is expecting a baby girl any moment now (her due date was Sunday), and my sister is also expecting a little girl near the end of June. These are the quilts I made for each of them. Bless their hearts for letting me use them as an excuse to try to learn to quilt.

Happy 3 Years!

I have always loved this picture, even though my eyes are closed. It's fun to remember how happy we were and what a blast we had on our wedding day.
We celebrated our anniversary on Wednesday. We had a great night away thanks to generous babysitting from my parents. Thanks again Mom and Dad!
